I am very excited to see what the next chapter brings for RB Agency. The business has a strong brand, some brilliant clients and importantly a fantastic team. Combining the experience and skills of Prominent and RB Agency will, I’m sure, make us stronger and will ensure that the service we can deliver to clients is even better than the already-high standards they are used to. I feel extremely privileged and honoured to have the opportunity to lead two genuinely brilliant teams of marketeers, media buyers and PR practitioners and to see where the journey takes us.
My skills lie in strategy and planning. I help clients analyse their target audiences and markets and ensure that they are choosing the most effective platforms and tactics for their marketing. I am straight-talking when it comes to work and will only advise on strategy that I know will bring results. I am passionate about what I do and the industry in which we work and would love to see marketing and PR play more of a role at Board level.
Q: Apart from running the business what else do you get up to?
On a Saturday you’ll find me on a hockey pitch and then as soon as I’m finished, avidly checking my phone to see how Newcastle got on in the football. I love nothing more than going out for dinner and drinks with my husband or groups of girlfriends, and love to travel. When I have a spare weekend I’ll usually make the long drive back up to Durham to see my family and friends.
Q: What kind of boss are you?
I like to trust my team. I like to give them the space to be creative, to define their own style and to do things their way. I’m not a micro manager I’m a facilitator. And I’m happy for people to make mistakes – it’s the best way to learn and I’ll be there to catch them if they fall. I like to celebrate even little successes or milestones so always ensure we do something as a team when things are going well, even if is feeding everyone copious amounts of cake!
